Orissa Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation also known as IDCO is a statutory corporation established by the Government of Orissa in 1981 under the OIIDC Act.,1980 with the objective of development of infrastructure facilities required for industrial and economic growth.

The main activities of IDCO are:

• Establishment, maintenance and management of industrial estates, industrial areas, growth centers, EPIPs, industrial Parks etc.
• Identification & acquisition of land for large industrial projects
• Project planning, designing and construction services
• Development of commercially viable infrastructure projects in joint venture with private sector

In last two decades, IDCO has been credited with spectacular achievements in the fields of infrastructure development in the State. The major infrastructure activities of the IDCO are :

• Development of 86 industrial estates with inventory of about 27,000 acres of land
• Implementation of centrally sponsored schemes like EPIP, Growth Centres, IID Centres, Food Park, Apparel Park, SEZ, Urban Haat, ASIDE etc.
• Land acquisition for mega projects like Tata Steel, Sterlite, Utkal Alumina, PPL, Jindal Steel, Bhushan Steel, Kalinganagar Industrial Complex, PPL, IOC Oil Refinery etc.
• Construction of Fortune Towers- A 3.5 lakh sift. futuristic hi-tech complex

IDCO has been a steady profit making organization since last 10 years. It has in-house expertise for project planning, development, land acquisition, civil, electrical, water supply & environmental engineering.

IDCO is the first PSU in the country to be awarded with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certification by the RTUV in 1997 in the areas of infrastructure development, management & maintenance. It is also recipient of Golden Peacock Award, 1999 from the Institute of Directors, New Delhi for its innovative application of quality management in infrastructure development.
